A timely response can minimize the saltwater soil damage
SOS Environmental, Inc. provides a full service team to perform sodic (saltwater) site evaluations, field-testing, saltwater remediation recommendations, application of required amendments, as well as, site managing and monitoring through closure. When needed, SOS can provide specialized equipment (tractors, spray trailers, etc.) and field engineers to support your operation.
This First Response Chart is to be used as a guideline for treatment of fresh saltwater spills. If the contamination is over 30 days old the soil should be first tested for Cation Exchange Capacity (CEC) and Exchangeable Sodium Percentage (ESP) to determine the proper amendment types and quantities. Soil condition and nutrient levels should also be noted.
